If the submitting songwriter has submitted a melody as well as lyric...an ecceptance proceedure follows first....please send rough demo via email. If the client wrote the lyric and composed the melody, he/she owns 100% of the song's copyright. In the case of a collaboration, however, the song's ownership is split (the standard 50/50) between lyric & melody writer. [copyright registration will be submitted by MoodMaster Music at the USA Library of Congress Copyright Office. ...Offering to "collaborate" on the songwriting means we care about a song's overall potential and gets our best creative input. Demo payment is received before production begins, for hiring of performers, etc. A $100CAD per week fee will be applied to cancellations with the balance refunded. With regards to song publishing offers on CO-written songs, any agreements will require a signature from both songwriters. The "master recording" copyright is split 50/50 between MoodMaster Music and the client - e.g. for TV/film offers & artist backing tracks. So one song in a film, TV show or Ad can earn many times the production costs.
